and his international crew of 13, aboard 125' maxi catamaran
PlayStation, set a new world record for the round Britain and
Ireland (RBI) course. Their time of 4 days, 16 hours, 9 minutes
and 36 seconds for the 1787 nm run left them with an average
speed of 15.93 knots.

The
previous record for this course was set by Brian Thompson (GB)
and Helena Darvelid (SWE) on the 110' catmaran Maiden II. Their
time of 4 days, 17 hours, 4 minutes, 23 seconds broke Steve's
previous 1994 record on the 60' trimaran, Lakota.
